Want to have a baby boy?

RESEARCHERS FIND MOTHER'S DIET MAY INFLUENCE BABY'S SEX:
Surprising new research from Britain suggests that what a woman eats before she gets pregnant may influence whether she has a boy or a girl. About 700 women were asked about their eating habits in the year before they got pregnant, and researchers found that eating more overall, not skipping breakfast, and consuming potassium-rich foods such as bananas seemed to raise the odds of having a boy. On average, women who had boys ate about 400 calories more each day than those who had girls, and having an additional 300 milligrams of potassium daily also favored boys, which the researchers says lines up with an old wives' tale that if women eat bananas they'll have a boy. Additionally, women who ate at least one bowl of cereal a day -- considered a marker of not skipping breakfast -- were 87 percent more likely to have boys than those who ate no more than one bowl each week.
